Solnet Group board strengthened

Solar energy company Solnet Group which operates all over Europe continues its growth and international expansion and has now appointed two new board members; Bruce Douglas and Martin Baart.

Bruce Douglas brings extensive experience in the solar energy sector, having served as the Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Solar Power Europe for a long time. He was the founding Chairman of The Global Solar Council (GSC), an umbrella organization for solar energy associations, as well as RE-Source, the world’s premier business event and platform for corporate sourcing, held annually in Amsterdam.

Martin Baart’s strong background spans over multiple international leadership roles in various companies, including ABB. He has specialized in renewable energy throughout his career and has led the market development of several renewable energy companies. Currently, he also serves on the advisory boards of two different energy storage technology companies.

Martin Baart, on the other hand, brings excellent experience in company growth, internationalization, and energy storage technologies. The renewed board members include Arttur Kulvik, Kaj Kangasmäki, Kalle Kekkonen, Daniel Pasternack, Bruce Douglas, Martin Baart and Heli Kerminen from TESI as an observing member. Dr Winfried Hoffman, Dr Tapio Alvesalo, and Philip Wolfe will continue as advisory board members.

Solnet Group has been growing at fast rate of 30–40 % annually. In 2022, the company's revenue doubled, and the goal for 2023 is to double the previous year's revenue once again.
