Katiuska Karhula has been working at Solnet since May 2021. She works as a Senior Engineer on designing different solar energy projects for international customers.

Katiuska is originally from Venezuela and uses Finnish, English and Spanish in her work.

Katiuska is an Electrical Engineer and graduated in Venezuela in 2002. After that she worked several years in lighting business as a Product Engineer, Project Manager and in design in several different positions.

She arrived to Finland in 2014 and the beginning was a bit struggle. She did not speak any Finnish but she is a quick learner and learned the language very quickly. After that she managed to get her first job in the country. Then she has studied further alongside work at Metropolia Polytechnic to learn more about Finnish rules and regulations.

Now she is working in her dream job at Solnet.

”I have really enjoyed my time at Solnet. The team is great and everyone is really nice. I really like the fact that I can use my skills in so different ways but also learn more. ”

During her sparetime Katiuska is very active and loves to run. She is currently preparing for Helsinki Marathon. ”I also enjoy travelling and running in different destinations. And I read a lot, especially in English and Spanish, sometimes also in Finnish to practice my Finnish skills.”
